Gorgeous Bride Samera

“You made me look exactly as I wanted. Thank you so much, it wouldn’t have happened without you xxx”

Saturday 19th March, was an auspicious occasion for Ataf Anwar and gorgeous bride Samera. Creative Director and friend of the couple Uzma Yakoob was there to get Samera all glammed up for her beautiful wedding day.

“Samera wanted to go for a Regal theme. She was wearing a traditional pakistani outfit, the colour being burgandy with a gold contrast lengha/dupatta and elegant dhabka kaam balanced the outfit with a subtle sprinkle of modern. Her jewellery was kundan, simple but classic. When getting a bride ready for her day I look at the outfit, which tells me a little bit about the person and I create a look that will compliment everything beautifully. It is SO important to make sure you give the bride a look that she feels comfortable with as this will transgress in pictures. Confidence is everything on your big day. As a stylist as well as 2 decades of exeperience in this industry, I can read people’s personality pretty well through their clothing and styling choices.

We went for a dramatic smokey cut crease, using gold, burgandy’s on the crease and browns and blacks to create the sultry smoke. Foundation was a flawless coverage, complimented with shading as the contour, we didn’t need to use any concealer as Sam is quite fair as it is so the contrast was not required. Blush, highlighter and bronze was fierce and to finish it off I used two shades of lipsticks to create the intense burgandy lipshade which was the only colour that would make this whole look come together!

Sam’s hair was styled in an elaborate up do, using two hair pieces to create big barrel curls. Of course this was going to be covered and possibly slightly crushed but as a bride its always nice to have something spectacular done to your hair! The hair was finished off with a side quiffed parting, setting the tikka underneath creating a polished clean look. I thought she looked spectacular Mashallah”
